Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt is the German word for “whole.” Gestalt Therapy was developed by Fritz Perls in the 1940s and 1950s as a holistic form of psychotherapy that emphasizes personal responsibility. During a session, we will focus on your experience in the moment to explore your environment and the social contexts of your life.

I work with each of my clients as a whole being (mind, body and soul) using a self-directed, in-the-moment approach to psychotherapy. I support my clients through guided dialogue, observation, and intuition to help them become aware of their negative patterns of behavior. Through this process, clients discover how those negative behaviors keep them stuck from moving forward in their lives. As with all forms of therapy, this approach is most effective when the client is willing to do their personal work. It is life changing!
